First select the rounded rectangle tool from the toolbar and drag out a rectangle like the one below.

Now from the layers panel double click the shape layer to open the layers styles panel and give it settings as shown below.

Again with the rounded rectangle tool drag out a rectangle as shown below.

In its styles panel, give it settings as I did below.

In a layer above the rectangle we just made, draw an oval white shape as I did below.

Then go to filter -> blur -> gaussian blur and blur it some to get rid of the edges.

With the text tool type in ENTER inside the blue box with the font called Ravie

Double click the layer to get into the layers styles panel and give it settings as shown below.

Make a copy of both the shape layer, text layer and the glossy effect (the three layers we just made).

Change the ENTER to LEAVE and arrange them as I did below.

The final thing is to make the light effect.

So select the background layer, (make sure to make it quite dark)

Then go to filter -> render -> lightning effect and give it settings as shown below.

Spooky text

First type in the text you want to add this effect to, I used a font called showcard gothic.

First in the layers panel right click the text layer and choose rasterize layer.

Now make a copy of the text layer, which we will be changing later.

So select the top text layer and now we are ready to work a bit on it.

With the smudge tool find a soft medium size brush and drag out from the text letter as you can see in the process below.

Now select the bottom text layer and we will be doing the same thing, just with a bit bigger brush and a larger intensity, so smudge it like I did below.

The final thing is to double click each text layer and add an outer glow style like I did below.

 And we are done

Britney spears twisted glowing dots

First load in the image we want to apply this effect to.

Now locate the panel called channels (by default its docked next to the layers panel) click on the small icon to create a new channel as shown below.

Make a gradient going from a gray to white and back to gray as shown below, and drag it across the stage in the new channel layer.

Go to filter -> pixelate -> color halftone and set it as below.

Now hold down ctrl and click the new channel layer to load the selection.

You can now delete the new channel again, we dont need it anymore.

Go back to the layers panel, create a new layer on top of the britney spears layer, hold down ctrl + shift and hit i to invert the selection.

Now fill the selection with a white color to make the effect shown below.

Now make sure to have the halftone layer selected, then go to filter -> distort -> twirl and give it settings as shown below.

The final thing is to double click the halftone layer to get to the layers styles panel and give it an outer glow as shown below.

Sleek logo text style

First we will need to make the frame around the text, so with the rectangle tool draw a shape on the stage like I did below

In the layers panel set the fill percent down to 0 percent.

Double click the shape layer in the layers panel to get to the layers styles panel and set it like below.

Make a new empty layer, with the selection tool draw a selection inside the frame we just made, like I did below, then fill it with black color.

Now go to edit -> transform -> wrap and drag some of the handles on the right side to make the shape a bit curve on the right side.

Now select the new layer and the layer containing the frame we made before, right click and choose merge layers.

Now we go one layer with one custom shape. double click the layer in the layers panel to add some layers styles.

With the text tool type in a big 0 and place it inside the frame to the left as I did

Hold down ctrl and click the text layer in the layers panel to load the selection, you can down delete the text layer again.

select the frame layer and hit delete so your image should look something like this..

The final thing is to use the text tool to type in Tutor at the right side inside of the frame and maybe even give it a drop shadow like the one we gave the frame in the layers styles panel.

 And we are done
